Auto Insurance Comparison - Pontiac Firebird vs Ascari KZ-1

The Pontiac Firebird is the winner for me by a mile, when I was younger I was actually looking to try and buy one of these beautys for myself. However, when I saw the price of insurance I had to take a step back and realise that it was never going to happen.. :( These are both very good cars, but..


Which one would you choose?

The amazing Pontiac Firebird must represent the best value for money useable performance car there has ever been! For the equivalent of just £14,000 in the USA, a brand new Firebird could be yours with leather, electric seats, ABS and traction control - not to mention the small matter of a 300bhp V8.



Ascari KZ-1


























Average insurance for middle-age man, safe neighbourhood: $650/month

The follow up to the Ecosse, the beautifully styled KZ-1 was first introduced at the 2000 Birmingham Motor Show. A 500bhp powerplant pushes the KZ1 to a 200mph top speed with 0-60mph acceleration in around 4 seconds. Handling is high quality thanks in part to the lightweight carbon fibre body but mostly due to the chassis expertise of Ascari's designers having previously honed their skills at Lotus.

    I really like the Pontiac Firebird but I have to go with the Ascari KZ-1. Its a truly stunning car.

    Well, I like new cars better than vintage cars, so I'm chosing the KZ-1. For only 50 dollars more a month I can drive this bad boy.
